If you have one or more amalgam (metal) fillings and you've been thinking about having them replaced, this is the conversation to have. Some patients want them out for personal preference, others for cosmetic reasons — either is a valid reason to ask Dr. Bentler or Dr. Simmons about a safe removal process.
Signs You Should Bring It Up
How We Evaluate at The Holistic Dental Center
Before removal, Dr. Bentler or Dr. Simmons may use the RITA meter to check your fillings and plan the order of removal. During the procedure, we use a protective dental dam and high-volume suction to help limit exposure throughout.
What Happens Next
If you have several amalgam fillings, your dentist may recommend removing them across more than one visit. To talk through a safe removal plan, call us at (509) 325-2051.
